I got started stitching when one of the girls I working with was stitching Christmas Cards. I watched what she was doing and decided to try something simple to make for myself. Well, that lead to that lead to a whole host of other supplies. I started with simple designs and graduated to intermediate projects. I never took classes, but I did buy books and leaflets and kits to learn other form of stitches and to try different fabrics. My favorite fabric now is linen. I am working on a sampler now, which I am stitching on dyed linen, 36 count, over two threads. It will take at least a year to finish, but It doesn't matter. I will frame this piece, and it will be going in my bedroom. I'm rather partial to samplers and florals and Paula Vaughn! I love her work, and I have stitched three of her works.
