Angela,
On linen, the biggest hint I can give you is start next to a vertical
thread. This is hard to describe, but when you look at the weave, put you
needle up in a hole that is to the lower left of a thread going up and down,
with the long part on top of the linen. In other words, bring your needle
out right next to a place where the vertical thread has come from behind to
go over the horizontal thread.

I've been in a work slump too. I don't know if it's the spring, or due to
the fact that the part of the project I'm working on right now is boring!!
Take a few days off, then start your new project, and you'll come right out
of the slump.
