I have the Just Nan "Last Stitches", and intend to finish this year with
it, and start the next with the companion piece. (Even though I'm with
those that believe the millenium ends December 2000. The fact that
celebrations will happen the end of this year just seems to me an excuse
to party all year.)
The other project that I plan to do next year is Indigo Rose's Millenium
sampler. The subtitle on the pattern says "A thousand years of stitched
design." The bands are adaptations of embroidery on royal costumes from
various periods in the past. The description goes on to say "My wish in
designing "Millenium" was to represent the embroiderer's art on clothing
for the last thousand years." The pattern was what attracted me, but I
liked the thought behind it as well.
