I have finally found a few minutes to read through the posts these last few
days
and I really do wish I could keep us all together. I have sent many of you
out to
the list host web page for info on the list. I do not have the time to
help you
with this. I hope some one takes the time to put another together. Yes, I
have
come home from work and had my day ruined by someone taking my requests
to stay on topic as a personal insult. I have been accused of being anti
American
for controlling their speech. Or I'd sign onto the list and find the off
topic topic I asked
to cease, still going full tilt.
But you know for the last 6 months none of that has been going on. Yeah, I
had to
help get folks UNSCRIBED (I know you can spell, but the computer can't!) and
helped through other problems with the list as best I could.
My moderating time has been almost nill. I scan the messages about once a
week
and things moved along just fine. A little off topic but not for long! I
was so happy!
But the burden of the admin stuff is not something that can be added to my
life
and Monica has been calling me and leaving me nasty grams about taking it
over.
But I realize now that I can't do it.
I am busier than most people so don't think it is over whelming, it is just
a segment
of time I don't have right now. If someone has the time, it is a lot of
fun. The folks
on the list now are wonderful. They keep things going and help each other
and the
new folks.
I have been laughing and crying and blushing at the comments that have come in
private email and to the list. Thank you. I will keep a list of the
subscribers as
they will be on the final day and IF I find that I have and extra hour a
night in
the coming months, and the list hasn't been absorbed or recreated, we will
start
back up. You will all hear from me!
I better go before I start crying again!
