Hmm, I think we missunderstood : I'm suggesting to put the string "file" as the name for the context menu in inventory-mode. The explanation is that you've just right-clicked on a file, and the context menu should offer you actions related to file. (I think it helps the user to understand that the context-menu is actually contextual, not buffer-wide) No problem of name clash since this is just a string, not the name of a lisp variable.
