Whether a/r or +/- is used (both look well to me), it should be
considered whether they should be prefixes or suffixes. The more
general part should come first, as is common in all Emacs commands. Is
more general a/r or "something"? I think "something" is more general,
because it covers both the add/remove operations for the given purpose
(e.g. id handling), so a/r should be in the suffix position (if it is a
multiple keys command).
