Does this mean that Xubuntu Dapper will use GDM?

XDM (with a custom config), Qingy or Slim aren't
useful enough?


Why is it sad? Is it too large?
I said earlier that I don't think slim is mature enough yet. xdm is ugly and lacking some features,so does wdm, and qingy is framebuffer based which may make it not run at all on some platforms.
With gdm we just ride the tail of ubuntu/gnome - obviously I am talking about a stripped down version w/o gnome deps.

But if someone comes up with convincing configs/setup for xdm, qingy, slim they will definitely be considered. It is unlikely I will
look at them myself though as I spent some time already with slim/xdm/wdm and did not like them. Up to contributors :)
