Other Xfce packages like the panel also utilize these grayed out menu
titles, so even though I don't like them, I'd say don't remove the one
in the desktop menu just yet. It is consistent with the rest of the DE
afterall. You might still want to suggest this change upstream. Another
option would be to make it a 'real' title widget instead of something
that looks like (well, is) a disabled menu item.
Hmm, where do the panel or other items use such greyed out titles?
This change to menu.xml would affect both the desktop menu in the panel and the
right click menu on the desktop, as by default they use the same description file.
As for upstream this is not for upstream to change (as with the panel) it is a matter
of configuration, can be modified by distros for system wide default and by users
in their ~/.config.
Or are we talking about different things :) ?
