Maybe an image is clearer than words, so I went ahead today and made an
'enhanced' logo the way I imagined it. I put it in the wiki, as a proposal:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Xubuntu/EdgyLook

I tried to stick to the spirit of the old logo while still making it look a
little 3d and glossy.

Whatever logo will be selected for prime-time, I'm sure we can include all
the other artwork that has been done for edgy in the CD in one way or
another.

cheers,
luzi

It looks good. I encourage you to develop your entire vision for the
desktop and create additional pieces which go stylistically and
conceptually with the style of your logo.
