That'd be a little problem, since I don't have Ubuntu, and I don't have another spare USB drive to put it on ;-) The comment about dynticks and polling is more of a generic comment to > the dev-list of things to check. I tried to enter the commands you said into the terminal yesterday but then Xubuntu hung and I had to force a reboot. It's not only for laptops either.
