Unless I misunderstand this completely (it's possible), this refers to how much video space the OS will handle, not so much what the hardware limitations per video card are. Per Roger's suggestion, I read the specs on the board again, and they specifically state they each video port can handle up to 1920x1080, but not more. I also read some of the write-ups on the web (CNet and a couple of others) and there can be lots of tricky issues with this stuff because it's still so new. For one thing, I'd need HDMI 1.4 or newer at both ends with a good cable. Maybe I'll wait a bit and see what else comes out.
