Hi Well, it's been done before (benchmarking-celeron-j1900-xubuntu-linux <http://www.rkblog.rk.edu.pl/w/p/benchmarking-celeron-j1900-xubuntu-linux/>). What kind of graphic display problems were you having? Did you check your download of Xubuntu to make sure it wasn't corrupted? You could try Xubuntu 14.04 as a comparison. Another suggestion might be to try Fedora Xfce spin, Fedora tends to be tuned more towards Intel hardware in some respects.
