Hi,

The proprietary display drivers for *Ubuntu 16.04 are not released yet:
https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads

It usually takes a month or two after a *Ubuntu release for the above to have drivers.
Was just wondering if there was another immediate solution now?

Thanks!

Jesse

Jesse,

I had an analogous problem with a laptop that had recent, on-board, Intel graphics. Founded the solution on line and got proper software from Intel's support site.

    Hi,

Those tests were done with an earlier Xubuntu with an earlier
    Linux kernel.
The current Linux kernel in 16.04 does not work with the Intel HD
    GPU of Celeron j1900.
Guess I will be forced to run Windows 10 on this device until this
    is solved...

    Hi

    Well, it's been done before
    (benchmarking-celeron-j1900-xubuntu-linux

What kind of graphic display problems were you having? Did you
check your download of Xubuntu to make sure it wasn't corrupted?
You could try Xubuntu 14.04 as a comparison. Another suggestion
might be to try Fedora Xfce spin, Fedora tends to be tuned more
towards Intel hardware in some respects.

    Best of luck.

        Hi,

        Ugg...
        Did some research:
Apparently Intel "Bay Trail" has some major issues with Linux
        ATM?
Any ideas when this will be fixed? (hate running Windows)...

            Hi,

            I tried Xubuntu 16.04 64Bit Beta1 on a fairly new thin
            client with the following motherboard:
            http://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/q1900-itx
but had graphic display problems (Intel HD 7th generation
            GPU).

Does release version of Xubuntu 16.04 64Bit fully support
            above GPU now?
(currently running Win 10 Pro 64Bit but wish to change to
            Linux)
            Thanks!
