hi list,
have tried to enable IOMMU, because in dmesg I always see a whole of 64
MB in Memory. The message says, I should enabled IOMMU to get out this
message.

Now - after doing this, my bionic-box started with no USB-Ports and no
keyboard and mouse. So I couldn't do a login.

The only way was a reboot, not even a remote login over the network has
responded. But ping worked.

Since yesterday I have an auto-update and a new kernel 4.16. But it
seems, that the new kernel 4.16 has nothing to do with this behavior,
because an interim re-installation on kernel 4.15 followed by reboot
has shown the same behavior.

So for now I disabled the IOMMU and my box started in the usual way
with active USB ports as well as mouse and keyboard.

Has anyone similar experiences ? Is there anything, I can do to get the
IOMMU working ?

This is my hardware:
Mainboard : ASUS M5A99X EVO
BIOS 0705
Processor AMD Phenom-II 6-core
DDR3-RAM 16 GB
Grafic-Card ATI Baffin [Polaris11]
2 SSD's with 500 GB

Thanks in advance

bye hans
