Certainly nothing like that usage on my Lenovo Thinkpad running 20.04,
the top ten or so processes were all bits of Firefox (much as
expected), xfdesktop was 15th (or so):-

   1442 chris     0.6 xfdesktop --display :0.0 --sm-client-id 
2fa5809cb-ce3d-4766-9f20-1053f095eff4
