Good day all,
I have been a user of Firefox for years but Firefox 90.0.2 turns me off.
It's slow and freezes intermittently. "Purge and remove" in terminal works,
but in my programs I still see the Firefox Icon. When I click it,
Firefox--slowly--takes me to the starting page.
I used Synaptic Manager to remove all of Firefox that was left.
In Files I looked for Firefox and removed to Trash all I saw. I deleted the
content of Trash.
Then I did this in Terminal:

~$ sudo apt-get purge firefox
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package 'firefox' is not installed, so not removed
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
~$ firefox --version
Mozilla Firefox 90.0.2

[image: image.gif]The Firefox Icon stays visible. When clicking it, Firefox
brings me to the start page.
I applied Ubuntu Cleaner.

If anyone has suggestions I look forward to receiving those.

Best regards,
