Hello,

I am running Xubuntu 23.10.

By default the Time Administration Tool has the Configuration field
set to 'Manual'. However, because I want the clock to synchronize
with a specific NTP server, I changed the field to 'Keep synchronized
with internet servers'. When doing this I get asked to install NTP
support, allow the software to be installed, but it fails as it is
unable to find the software.

But, as I expected, NTP software is running...

nmsb@mediterraneo$ systemctl status systemd-timesyncd
● systemd-timesyncd.service - Network Time Synchronization
     Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/systemd-timesyncd.service;
enabled; preset: enabled)
Active: active (running) since Wed 2024-01-31 11:42:38 WET; 1 day 9h ago
       Docs: man:systemd-timesyncd.service(8)
   Main PID: 793 (systemd-timesyn)
Status: "Contacted time server [2620:2d:4000:1::41]:123 (ntp.ubuntu.com)."
      Tasks: 2 (limit: 16488)
     Memory: 1.6M
        CPU: 607ms
     CGroup: /system.slice/systemd-timesyncd.service
             └─793 /lib/systemd/systemd-timesyncd

jan 31 11:44:09 mediterraneo systemd-timesyncd[793]: Initial clock
synchronization to Wed 2024-01-31 11:44:09.973002 WET.

Is there a problem with the Time Administration Tool?

How can I change to my university time server and stop using ntp.ubuntu.com?

Best regards!
