XWT is approaching the Nitrogen release - we do versions against the periodic table :P - which includes a number of brilliant new features. Here's the beta release announcement and several issues have already been solved since this email:

One of the cooler new features is the inclusion of freetype via a mips2java interpreter, giving us lovely truetype fonts.

Also, the JS and XML backends have been rewritten (was Rhino and Mini-XML before) and are much faster. And there's SVG support, a new grid-based constraint layout and OpenGL acceleration.

The widget set is being rewritten to accomodate all these changes (which resulted in some major changes in XWT code) so watch-this-space for updates and demos.
