Hello, Andy Oliver has created a little installer using Ant thanks to a new task library called Cheese that lets you wipe up UIs using XML tags inside Ant scripts.
See the blog story titled "Something Cheesy for the new year" online @ http://linuxintegrators.com/acoliver/code/2005/01/03/0206.html for details. Dale Asberry explored the same idea a while back when creating an installer using Ant and Luxor XUL for the Judy Jini.org project. See the blog story titled "The Reasons behind Installer DeLux" online @ http://www.artima.com/weblogs/viewpost.jsp?thread=43125 For more info about Dale Asberry and Installer Delux see the XUL Titan interview online @ http://xul.sourceforge.net/post/2004/05/luxor_xul_titan_interview_r_dale_asberry.html You can find the Installer DeLux project online @ https://install-delux.dev.java.net Let us know what you think about using Ant and a XML UI language library to create a scriptable installer. - Gerald ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
