But not about the amazing www.x.org project, but more specificly about SMI's X11-group. Until last year I had thought they were my friends (when I had the honor to shake hands with them in Menlo park), but it was an illusion. They didn't offer me any job, nor whatever other material or non-material help. Instead they hired one or more other persons. That's their way of saying "thank you for the music". The same with SPARC-Indiana. I offered Sun at least 10^24 times to work on this, at very low (even zero) payment. All I wanted was to be a Sun-employee. It had always been my dream. And I neglected my private life, University studies, everything, I'm more than EUR 10K in the reds now (14K USD). But those "friends" of mine don't even say hello when I try to talk to them. BTW: The Natamar DVD iso is still under construction, but the limited CD.iso is here already: http://www.martux.org/SPARC_distro_incl_Xorg7.2/natamar-os__logo.jpg http://www.martux.org/SPARC_distro_incl_Xorg7.2/cdrom__NoGnome_NoJDS_with_icewm/Natamar_0.4__b96_sparc_cdrom.iso http://www.martux.org/SPARC_distro_incl_Xorg7.2/cdrom__NoGnome_NoJDS_with_icewm/README.txt > I may miss some of the context that makes you whine about this but > anyways if you're interested in X please subscribe to the events page of > the X.Org wiki (http://xorg.freedesktop.org/wiki/Events) to stay > informed and don't wait for an invitation to participate. > -- > Matthieu Herrb In the past they used to invite me, although I could not attend at that time. Entry may be free, but how do I get there? Sun left me without one of the jobs which I had desparately desired to get. So without sponsorship there is no nothing of an option for me to go there.
