+1 I could not agree more in particular regards to the comment: "Sun really needs to address this if they want people to develop software for the SPARC platform. It's really hurting the eco-system."
If Sun could just update there MB to support the new ATi HD series cards and talk to AMD and proper driver support out of the open specs in opensolaris. Then we could have at least the new cards running Xorg on SPARC workstations. Also, bring the price point down would not be a bad idea at all Sun! How are students meant to buy a Ultra25 or 45 ? No software on SPARC == No one buys SPARC, however good it is .. !
