Background: A customer wants to build a Solaris release (TX included) our of SWAN based on open source code. I am helping them with regard to Xorg building.
Current situation: The result I got now is that I could only build 23 of the Xorg packages totals 53 from the source code I got. I was told that this is supposed to happen. But I believe the trend is that more and more packages are buildable from outside of SWAN over time. It may not be 100%. Sun will provide binaries for partners to distribute when source is not available. Questions: 1, where can I get the binaries for un-buildable packages that I can use to make the release? 2, Can I get the binaries for un-buildable packages from install CD, is there a legal problem existing if I do this? I just need a way to figure things out. Hope someone could help.
