SWAN is Sun's internal network, not a software release. > Current situation: > The result I got now is that I could only build 23 of the Xorg > packages totals 53 from the source code I got. > I was told that this is supposed to happen. That is the trend and our numbers are increasing, but far from 100% for X yet. > Sun will provide binaries for partners > to distribute when source is not available. > Questions: > 1, where can I get the binaries for un-buildable packages that I can use to > make the release? From a Solaris install CD, yes. Only the OpenSolaris 2008.05 install CD has been limited to freely redistributable binaries - Solaris 10, SXCE, & SXDE all contain binaries which are not freely redistributable and require OEM-type contracts with limited rights to redistribute - but if you're doing one of those you should be using the Solaris 10 source product, not OpenSolaris. -- -Alan Coopersmith- alan.coopersmith at sun.com Sun Microsystems, Inc. - X Window System Engineering
