your version of Xorg7.2.0 that is currently shipping bundled with / as
part of SXCR ?

Only on the U5/U10 alone (as it unfortunately appears to be the case),
or also on a few more/different systems??
(it would never perform _any_ successful pci scanning on _most_ boxes
[i.e. on Schizo based ones like the Blade1000/2000], would poorly fail
with a SIGBUS (or SIGSEGV in fewer scenarios), even if you provided it
with a preconfigured "good / working" xorg.conf for the appropriate
frame buffer device[path|driver], therefore also without "-configure" /
even with no arguments at all)

... just for my interest ??

p.s. Congrats to your election :-)
pp.s. Above SIGBUS's can indeed be prevented with either
"-xmemalign=1i" or "-xmemalign=4i", however: Unfortunately are then no
devices found / added to the tree in case of whatever combinations of
"-xmemalign=??"
(I found a different solution for now, which you will see in three days)

ppp.s. Why didn't you respond?
