The announcement is in the Solaris 10 8/07 release notes.
Following normal process, Xsun will remain in all further
Solaris 10 update releases (we only remove features from
updates in very rare circumstances), and should be in any
new full releases of Solaris that happen within a year of
the publication of the notice. After that, it may be removed,
(and it may be removed from the Solaris Express releases
at any time now, since those are not a full release of
Solaris, but a preview of a future full release).
Xsun will not be in the Project Indiana releases, which may
end up becoming the next full release of Solaris in time,
and thus may end up setting the schedule for the effective
Xsun EOF. (See the ongoing discussion in indiana-discuss
for the possible changes to the release model.)
