   I have tried out the 7.1 tarballs which caused some issues. But I 
understand
   now that the git repository has more fixes and enhancements and the 
Solaris
   build issues I have faced have been cleaned up.

   I do not know about Nexenta, however I intend to use SUN Studio. I have
   tested the Nvidia drivers on BeleniX with a recent OpenSolaris 
snapshot (that
   also includes DRI BTW) and it appears to work well. My intent is to get
   Xgl and Compiz working properly for the next release. This also means 
that
   I will stop using Xorg 6.9.
