Hey Moinak! Thanks a lot! It has worked.(Login via failsafe and run /usr/bin/gnome-cleanup.) And finally after three days of frustration I can now log on to my opensolaris desktop!
BTW can you suggest any resources that can guide me through all these useful commands. I will like to learn more about desktop management through console after this terrible experience. And in this time I have developed keen interest in working with bash. Any link to useful pdf or web page guide would be welcome. I would also love to contribute to community in any way possible.
