[I'm out of the office until Jan. 2 like most other Sun US employees, but still checking e-mail every couple days - I haven't responded yet to the previous messages in this thread since I haven't had any answers - I'm as eager as you to hear from the SPARC graphics team when you'll be able to test an XVR-100 driver for Xorg - I have no idea what their schedule is.]

I'd been waiting for Xorg server 1.4.1, which was originally planned for release in early November, but has slipped and not released yet. At this point, our attention is focusing on bringing the X client libraries and apps up to the current X.Org - basically doing the work to sync the versions in the FOX gate into the main Nevada gate, merging in the changes we've got in our old X11R6-forked gate, and doing ARC review for anything needed (see the previously posted status list in the genunix wiki for details). The refactoring of our packages for IPS is also looming on the horizon soon. Given the work needed for those and the planned X11R7.4 / Xorg 1.5 release in March, it's looking increasing likely that for the X server we'll just skip ahead to that, sometime after the initial Indiana release. -- -Alan Coopersmith- alan.coopersmith at sun.com Sun Microsystems, Inc. - X Window System Engineering
