I'm running SXCR build 53 on an Ultra 10 and have some questions about X on it:
1. Graphics performance is dreadful. We have some old PCs at work with the same graphics chip and they blow this machine away in terms of graphics performance. What is the cause of this slowdown? Will this be fixed when X.Org becomes the default X server? 2. Is there a version of X Org that I can easily install on my system, and where can I get hold of it? 3. How do I change the refresh rate and screen resolution? I cannot change the screen resolution using the tool provided in Gnome since it complains about a lack of XRandR extension (presumably Xsun doesn't have this feature). I've tried the new Gnome 2.16 UI on an x86 VM and the Ultra 10 and I am pretty impressed. The default theme is a huge improvement on the purple yuck of the old JDS, and the addition of "networking" and "users and groups" applets is a big help to newbies like myself.
