Hello Chiara,
our kind of problem can occur for example when some variables disappear
from code or change of name. Let imagine a simulation in a revision for
which class Body has "velocity" variable, you save it, but after an
update, class Body has "speed" variable. Then you're fucked...
And maybe there could be other reasons ! That's why personly I gave up
to update when I did simulations...

the point I saved. In Yade one needs to be consistent with the version
utilized to run and save tests and the one employed to load them. This
is a limit if one wants to update, say frequently, the version in use.
