ok. just lost my e-mail, so I will have to write another one, forgive me if it is rather short..
I am using paraview for two reasons: first, I have the vague idea that it will get the job done faster, that I will have less time to wait, which I now suspect is not the case, second, it allows me to control the speed at which I view the simulation, which I don't believe is possible using the Qt view. correct me if I am wrong. I am including several videos this time. I assume it is fairly obvious that there are things that are not right, given my previous description of what should in fact be happening. ok.. no, i'm not. attaching them with this internet connection (dial up) seems to refuse to work. I will send another e-mail tomorrow, when I have high speed access. amoung my questions is how to be sure that the frictional interaction between spheres and bucket walls is being properly simulated, causing the beads to rotate with the bucket, and be caused to stick to the walls in consequence. I have understood the problem of the beads falling through the walls, I think.. It has to do with the time-step being too large. -cheers, -mike :-D --- On Wed, 7/7/10, Bruno Chareyre <[email protected]> wrote: From: Bruno Chareyre <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Yade-users] hello? -help with a spinning bucket! You know you can see what happens in a simulation at run time in Qt view, right? It is more convenient than paraview for debugging. It is difficult to understand what your problem is (except leaking particles, which is clearly not expected). Did you forget attachment or something?
