I would appreciate it if you explain a The easiest way is if you run the script with yade. Do you have yade installed? If so, copy the script I posted into a file (e.g. example.py) and save it. Then run: yade example.py. The script shows some linked particles (could be your membrane) falling on a cylinder where the particle self-interact.
