Liqing Jiao proposed the following answer: As Prof. Chareyre said, (delta_Ut)1 is the direction change of shear strain, since shear strain much be perpendicular to the normal strain. (delta_Ut)2 is the shear strain caused by rotation relatively. If I am not right, tell me please.
