New question #267815 on Yade:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/267815

I am doing a simulation of Projectile impact on a granular bed of spheres. I am
not using any gravity, hence the initial energy is only the kinetic energy of
the projectile. After impact, I am adding up the various energy
contributions(Kinetic + Elastic+ damping dissipation+fric dissipation) from all
the particles to form the final energy. What we have found is a missmatch
between the initial and final energy. The final energy grows initially and it
reaches a constant value, where it stays through out the simulation. The final
energy value is higher than that of the inital energy. Another interesting fact
we found was, the energy growth is time dependend. For the same simulation, we
found lower final energy for smaller time. I request your help to sort out this
anomaly. I wish I could upload the energy graphs. I will provide the script and
the graphs if required.
