ehsan benabbas gave more information on the question: when I do the "git pull", it says every thing is up to date ehsan@ehsan:~$ cd /home/ehsan/trunk ehsan@ehsan:~/trunk$ git pull --rebase upstream master >From gitlab.com:yade-dev/trunk * branch master -> FETCH_HEAD Already up to date.
