Any problem rotating them "manually"?:
- setting their position (before simulation starts)
- or velocity such that they come to desired position the next step
- ...

Because of the GlobalStiffnessTimeStepper, which chooses "best" time step
automatically. This is by design.
If you do not want it, set its dead=True, do not use it at all, ...
