Many of us experienced major problems with Yahoo Messenger yesterday, or even over the weekend. Regarding either sending or receiving PM's, or getting into a room. Let me just share a few secrets that we found worked.
First, apparently Yahoo was changing over and upgrading servers. So their room server or chat server was down for several hours. We were finally able to get into a room in messenger by either using the Ychat function of Messenger which does not allow you to receive pm's, or if you have Ytunnel, to log in Bridged. Both of those options allowed people to get into a chat room. Also if you have a 3rd party chat client, those all seemed to be working, but Pm'ing was difficult at times. Just something to keep in mind if ever it happens again. I know it was a substantial problem because MSN was on massive over load, because no one could get into yahoo. It was pandemonium.
