Scan,

Ok, lots of questions for you.. LOL

What version of messenger are you both running?
Are either of you using a third party application like ytunnel?
What firewall do each of you have running?
Can either of you see other people's cam besides each other?

Have you tried testing your cam at the yahoo test site, located here?

If you do have firewalls, make sure that you make the following changes.

Your firewall must permit outgoing TCP connections on port 5100.
Please make the following changes to your firewall:

Protocol: TCP
Server: webcam.yahoo.com
Port: 5100

If you are running XP, make sure that you do not have on the built-in
Internet Connection Firewall (ICF). Go here for instructions on how
to find out.

Do you get any type of error message? Or just a black screen?

Have you tried connecting to yahoo changing the connection to "NO
PROXIES".

Please let me know, so we can narrow it down. We have to first find
out WHOSE problem it is.
