I have a long-lasting problem with my webcam and Yahoo IM. although the camera(s) work(s) on other IM programs, YIM fails to recognize it (the camera selection area on the "Preferences" list is "greyed out"). I notice I have the same effect on my laptop, but a camera DOES work there. On here (my PC) any attempt to activate the webcam, "freezes" YIM and the cursor meaning I have to hit the n"reset" button to get the PC back. I have this same result with three different cameras and when using YIM back as far as v5 (which I have tried).
Any hints, suggestions or whatever.
