Rick,
I never said this was not the place for that discussion about law enforcement
on internet.
All i said on that subject was what I knew, if you disagree with that then
maybe you need to
see your local law enforcement official, because i know I told the truth.
Disagree all you like
your still wrong. What I did say I thought didn't belong here was the IDLE
chat, that is for messenger not this group. I think this is not how you
understood it sir. I didn't say everything i know about the stalker on internet
issue because my brother and father asked me not to tell secrets on how they
catch ppl breaking the law. Kinda like not to give away all of thier
techniques. But the issue of this not being the place to start a chat
conversation is an issue others before me have covered too. WE need to keep the
group on the issues of yahoo messenger not chatting about dinner last night or
what your name is or circumstances that is
stuff for yahoo messenger.

I sort of disagree, Kathy. [Y!M] is a group that talks about Yahoo! Instant
Messenger and all issues of IMing. It can be about the newest Y!M update,
or about Y!M for Windows, the Mac and Linux, or about trying to get it to
work, or about important issues that people who use Instant Messaging
may have to deal with. I don't see any problems discussing this whole
sexual predator law since really this deals with IMing too.
I also disagree with Linda. Most kids are IMing with their friends who they
know or want to know (Sam from study hall, might get your Y!M nickname)
and not complete strangers who everybody is fearful of. Very few people
seem to be actively wanting to chat with complete strangers, and then it's
only to be just friends or pen pals.
Guys are just as clueless as the unsuspecting older women who just want
to find companionship. I don't know how many Nigerian women who have
wanted me to cash checks for them. :-) That's just one of the things that
you need to always be cautious about when IMing with strangers.
I think that this discussion is perfectly relevant to this group.
