Kathy,

It sounds like you have a decent AV program. It's probably something that
your anti-virus software maker or their forums can probably help you with
but you should probably take heed with what your AV is telling you and avoid
SmileyCentral. If you definitely want it, there are ways to create
exceptions in anti-malware programs and firewalls, etc.

Most AV's and anti-spywares consider Smiley Central as adware and tracking
software. I know whenever I get an email where someone had a Smiley Central
as part of their sig, my anti-virus software blocks it.... not the email,
just the image/link associated with Smiley Central.

Here's a forum thread with details about Smiley Central's adware.

Here is PCHell's instructions to remove Smiley Central and all of the other
programs that get downloaded on your computer when you download the SC
software.

HI group,

I know when my ID got hacked, (not this one the old ID) I got back i by
changing my password with yahoo, if I remember right I had to answer a
security question or some other happy crap..lol, but it worked. I got back
in. And then promptly changed ID's yet AGAIN.....lol. Good luck to you.

And thank you Lenny for your help with the virus problem. I think it's
mostly gone, I have had computer checked by professional and the memory
upgraded, it is working much better now. Thanks to you.

Lenny I have a question for you though, while i'm here annoying you..lol I
tried to redownload my email smileys from smiley central, and my anti virus
refuses to let me put them back on, says its adware. Do you know what is up?
I have been using smiley central for about five yaers with out a problem,
then after this virus attack, all of the sudden it wont download them.
Antivirus stops me dead. Can you help?

Take care have good weekend.

                                                                 Kathy
