First check to make sure your firewall isn't blocking the connection. This
can happen when a program changes. YM will do automatic updates if you
haven't disabled that so-called feature. If YM updated to a new version,
then your firewall may not recognize the new "program" and may not be
allowing it access. I'm not familiar with ISA firewall so I can't help you
with specifics.

If it's definitely not your firewall, then it could just be that Yahoo is
doing maintenance on the servers that serve your area. One way to find out
a little about what Yahoo might be doing is to visit the blog that Yahoo has
concerning YM at http://www.ymessengerblog.com/blog/ but they often do not
announce when they are doing maintenance on their servers that might
adversely affect YM users.

If things still do not work right, you may have had a .dll file corrupted
which is affecting your YM program. If that is the case, then you might
need to uninstall and reinstall YM. Here's how I recommend doing a full and
clean uninstall/reinstall...

yahoo.html. If the link breaks, just go to my blog at
http://lennyvasbinder.blogspot.com and it is the top blog right now.
