How long has this been happening? How long have you been trying to go into Chat Rooms? What country are you located in? What kind of message are you sending? I know there are some wanna-be hacker dipwads out there that have ways to boot people out of rooms so if you are in a room where there is one of these dipwads, then if they don't like your message, they might be booting you. Typically, just being signed out is not the way they do things. The only time I've ever gotten that message is when I first open a Chat Room and get the link to open the captcha security code. Then if I get busy with a phone call or something and do not enter the catpcha code, the original Chat Room window will change to show that I've been signed out. I do not recall ever being signed out while in an active chat room.
I also know that Yahoo has been doing major work on moving their servers around to new locations which has been causing problems with all of Yahoo's services, email, groups, etc. I haven't been into chat rooms the past several days so I do not know if they were also affected. Give us more history and details (I don't need to know your precise location or the rooms you were trying to go to) and maybe one of us can come up with better answers.
