What do you mean by you created a 2nd messenger? Is this a second Yahoo ID? Did you create it as a new and separate account or is this an alias of your main Yahoo ID. I don't think Yahoo allows the alias thing any longer but at one time, one could get many alias ID's that were all under their main Yahoo ID.
As far as deleting older status messages, the Profile page status message is changed on the Profile and the YM status message is changed on YM and AFAIK, they operate independently. More than likely, you set the status messages the same at some point??? I've seen folks with their status message on their profile and it might be months old (they usually show the date of the status message) but those same people can have different status messages on their YM... or most people have no status message at all. Of course, on the newer versions of YM, they have the "What are you doing?" field and the actual status messages are not customizable any longer... with only the options of "Available", "Busy" or "Invisible". If you remember the place in the Registry for changing or editing these, I'd be interested as I liked when they also had "BRB" or "Phone" or other status messages. Possibly, the "What are you doing?" field is linked to the Profiles depending on your own security/sharing settings but I haven't checked this. Some folks share everything they are doing on YM and it shows up on their Profiles... every friend they add, comments they make on websites, etc. Others share little or nothing. Many folks do not even realize they are sharing everything they are sharing. LOL BTW... when you said that you just learned this, do you have a link to a website or forum where you did learn this?
