{{FileSystemTimelineReaderImpl}} and {{FileSystemTimelineWriterImpl}} use a
unix-specific default. It won't work on Windows.
Also, {{TestFileSystemTimelineReaderImpl}} uses this default directly, which is
also brittle against concurrent tests.
