Bikas Saha commented on YARN-549:
---------------------------------

The sleep/blocking is already happening inside yarnclietimpl code. Why sleep
outside again? By calling yarnclient.submit() inline in the test code the test
code will block until yarnclient.submit() is complete.
You can try writing the alternate code. Its not a lot of code and will help
clarify if the threading is buying us anything extra.

> Currently, when submitting an application, storeApplication will be called
> for recovery. However, it is a blocking API, and is likely to block
> concurrent application submissions. Therefore, it is good to make application
> submission asynchronous, and postpone storeApplication.
