Hi [~leftnoteasy] and [~sunilg]. I would like this feature to be backported to
branch-2.8. In order for this to happen, we need to backport the prerequisites,
YARN-4108 and YARN-4822. I have branch-2.8 patches for both of them. Can I
backport these?
Would you like me to post the patches on the respective JIRAs or should I just
backport them directly? There were a few differences, but nothing major.
