[~roniburd], is this similar to what you had proposed in YARN-6418 ?
bq. At least as a start, it's a very simple patch that substitutes in a
lightweight object via Resource.newInstance that simply contains 2 longs.
I understand you had also made some changes to the ResourceCalculator.
