Yes. The existing statement to put them in same dir should be enough.
bq.Would it help to add a statement in the config section that the preferred
method is to place the new properties in the new config files?
In config section, all properties were mentioned with description. In next
section, structure of same config props are given. So to avoid confusion for
admin, second one could be tagged as a sample resource-types.xml to add
resources like resource1/2 etc.
