Just add some extra thoughts: the tool would work similarly to other commands
like {{yarn}}, {{hadoop}}, {{mapred}}, that is, have a wrapper script that sets
up the environment and classpath for the converter, which is a Java
application.
As [~shuzirra] explained, we want to avoid code duplication and want to only
focus on the conversion logic. So the more classes (XML parsers, POJOs, etc) we
can reuse the better.
We don't think that having a completely separate tool (possibly written in
another language like Python) has too much added value, but of course this
statement can be challenged.
